The Memphis Music Foundation’s mission is “to be an educational and support mechanism for the local music community.” Tonight’s show represents the best of what the Memphis music community has to offer. First there’s Folk stalwart Selvidge (Dimestore Angel, Catch The Wind, Fine Hotel) with singer/songwriter/painter Morris (All Things In Time, Love Me Today) and the soulful stylings of Robinson. The show is hosted by Stax Records owner and the “driving force” behind the Memphis sound, Bell, alongside hit writer/Memphis native Rutherford (When I Get Where I’m Going, Real Good Man).
