Marci Mason released her first book, Beyond the Pain: 10 Lessons on Love, Life & Letting Go with a launch party on January 25th at The Bridge Building in Nashville.
While the book is not a memoir, Mason shares a few personal stories in order to provide inspiration to others who may be going through similar experiences. Mason takes her readers on a journey of adverse situations and discovery as she discusses how to overcome some of life’s toughest obstacles. The book is one of inspiration and encouragement for its readers to live a full and purposeful life. She hopes the transparency in her writing will not only showcase the transformation she was able to make in her own life, but encourage others to do so as well.
“I wrote this book to encourage and inspire women,” says Marci Mason. “I wanted to share a small part of my journey in order to help transform women from living with pain to living with a purpose.”
Mason admits that she never had intentions to be an author but felt led to write as part of her purpose-filled journey. As an unexpected single mother of two, Mason suggests that we all must come to grips with the fact that life changes, with or without our permission, and we have to adapt not only survive, but thrive in the life we were meant to have.
Chapters in the book entitled Know Your Value, Comprise But Don’t Settle and Parenting Through Pain allow readers to know that they are not alone in their experiences. She wants others to know that, no matter what their situation is, if they keep putting one foot in front of the other with a positive mind-set, they will move towards a place of healing and peace. Mason hopes this book will encourage and empower others to move beyond their pain and truly live with purpose.
Mason, who also has Diabetes, is an activist for the American Diabetes Association and recently expanded her scope to include her passion for children and joined forces with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Marci Mason is also currently producing her first feature film and has several television projects in development.
