PROCEEDS OF PHOTOS PURCHASED OF THE MUSIC ROW ROAD RACE GO TOWARDS ST. JUDE'S CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL
Jo Dee Messina joined 1000's of runners in a 5K road race on Music Row in Nashville on Saturday April 9th at the Country Music Hall of Fame Park to raise awareness and money for St. Jude Childrens Research. Along with the 5K was also a one mile fun run for children and families to participate in.
Winners of the race were divided by age divisions and awarded plaques designed by patients at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
Saturday evening Messina entertained runners in a concert at the Wildhorse Saloon where she brought an intimate evening of song and open questions, song requests and much laughter.
At one point during the evening Messina asked The West Point Glee Club to come on stage and perform a touching song dedicated to the service men and women of our country. The West Point Glee Club is now a sixty-voice mixed chorus whose members serve as musical ambassadors for West Point and rank among our nation's most prestigious college choirs.
