Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive, Mayor Karl Dean and CMA Board Member Kix Brooks announced today that $2,924,936 from the 2010 CMA Music Festival was being donated to support music education and aid flood relief in Metro Nashville. The press conference was held in the Ford Theatre at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Country artists, Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town and Luke Bryan revealed the checks and presentation to Pam Garrett, Executive Director of the Nashville Alliance for Public Education and Ellen Lehman, President of The Community Foundation. Kyle Young, Director of the Country Music Hall of Fame was also on hand for the presentation.
