Tootsie’s 54th birthday bash hit Broadway on Wednesday, blocking the roads for an all-day show to celebrate.
Randy Houser, Terri Clark, Tracy Lawrence, Troy Gentry, Darryl Worley and surprise guests Joe Diffie, Jesse Whitley & Eric Lee Bettingfield hit the stage in front of Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge for the free show. NASH FM’s Blair Garner hosted.
Beginning at noon, attendees heard Nashville’s up-and-coming artists and received a lunch of a hot dog, chips and a drink for $5 — with proceeds benefiting Tracy Lawrence’s upcoming Turkey Fry.
The main acts started at 7 p.m. Broadway was be closed between Fourth and Fifth avenues south to make room for the crowd. For details, visit www.tootsies.net
