Kim Copeland has long been recognized as one of Nashville’s top independent producers. Her work for artists like Nashville Star finalist Rachel Williams, Drake Jensen, Lisa Lambert, Keith Norris, McKenna Faith and Barbara Harley has drawn critical raves, and her clients have won numerous competitions and topped print and online music charts. Her production skills have helped many of her clients attain publishing and record deals.

Her reputation as a top-flight song troubleshooter has made her one of the most sought-after speakers, consultants and songwriting instructors in the country for organizations including TAXI, The Songwriters Connection and the Nashville Songwriters Association International.

Kim has produced custom projects for special events and festivals as well as promotional work for a major motion picture. Her songs have been recorded by artists in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and she has released two albums of her own. Her musical education and background as a vocalist have helped her become one of the city's most respected vocal arrangers as well.

Perhaps the best indication of the respect in which she’s held in the industry is her inclusion in The Art & Science of Sound, the acclaimed video series on music production and recording put together by world-renowned producer/artist Alan Parsons and featuring legends like Michael McDonald and producer Tony Brown.

Kim came to Nashville from one of the nation's true musical hotbeds, the Texas dance hall circuit, where she shared bills with George Strait and Johnny Lee and crossed paths with Willie Nelson, Gene Watson and Rodney Crowell.

A visible part of the Nashville scene, she continues to perform at local spots like the legendary Bluebird Café, and she tours as both a solo artist and as a back-up singer for other performers. She has her own series of instructional videos, writes a weekly article for Songwriters Connection and other publications, and serves as a mentor in the Country Music Foundation's Words and Music Program, which teams schoolchildren with working songwriters. She is an active member of the CMA, NARAS, ASCAP, AMA and Folk Alliance. Kim Copeland Productions is an official sponsor of The Nashville Songwriters Association International.
