Nashville recording artist and Harford County resident Chris Monaghan is living his dream. With a unique sound, skillful guitar playing and a level of commitment not typical of a fifteen year old, Chris is making it happen. It all started at the age of nine, when he picked up the guitar for the first time. Within a few weeks he formed a band with school friends, and they began performing out. By thirteen, playing solo acoustic shows became his passion and with the support of local merchants his passion became a weekly reality.
"I don't want to have any regrets, so I am working hard and having a great time doing it. I love playing guitar and singing for people and I can't wait to see where it takes me." And taking him places it is. One place it has landed him is the 2013 Cal Ripken World Series. "Shameless" Chris's original song has been choosen to be the official song of the series because of its upbeat, positive message. "Shameless" encourages everyone to go after there dream and be the best they can be. Chris is honored to be a part of the Cal Ripken World Series and will be making his first appearance on national television singing the national anthem at the series. "It is a huge opportunity for me, and I am thankful for it." Chris will also be performing a concert as part of the weeklong series. Other doors have opened as well since recording in Nashville and releasing his music to online stores. Chris is getting FM radio play, along with some attention from TV, radio and local print interviews. He is getting the opportunity to play places he only dreamed of playing. The legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, has been on the bucket list, but now has a check mark next to it. Chris played at the legendary cafe after grabbing the attention of Nashville producer Kim Copeland.
Last year alone, Chris played a total of 63 shows, Komen Race for the Cure and the Darlington Apple Festival were two of the largest events with attendance of 30,000 people. He also played more intimate settings like coffee shops and ice creameries. In 2013 Chris is expending his live performances outside the state of Maryland, to start to build a more regional live show presence. Between weekly shows, playing more festivals and heading back and forth to Nashville, Chris is taking 2013 to new heights! - See more at: http://www.chrismonaghanmusic.com/bio/#sthash.O9nLPfUJ.dpuf
