Charles (Chip) Esten, star of the ABC-TV hit drama, Nashville, will perform the classic ballad “Tennessee Waltz” at this year’s gala. Esten portrays “Deacon Claybourne,” one of the show’s male leads, who is a primary love interest of star Connie Britton, who plays “Rayna James.” As “Deacon,” Esten plays a singer-songwriter-guitarist, which is what he also does in real life.
