Vivacious pint-sized singer Beth Cayhall bursts on the country music scene with her fresh, upbeat approach to classic country style and down home lyrics. One listen to her current album, Worth Fighting For, you will know why this soulful gal is ready to get the recognition she deserves as a powerful singer and a seasoned songwriter.

the enormous musical diversity she was reared on. Her roots were planted in the tunes of Patsy Cline, Conway Twitty and Dolly Parton, but it was the 1990’s era that influenced her the most. “I absolutely loved Reba, Garth, Martina McBride, Patty Loveless and Travis Tritt,” gushed Beth. Country music wasn’t the only genre she grew up listening to. Thanks to her mother, her childhood was spent hairbrush singing to the likes of The Beach Boys, The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and other female greats like Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. “I would have absolutely loved to do a duet with Otis if he were still alive,” remarks Beth.
Growing up about two miles from the ocean in the small coastal town of Ocean View, Delaware, Beth’s passion for singing was cultivated from age 4 when she first got up and sang Dear Mr. Jesus in her church. From that point on, she knew being a performer was what she wanted to be. It’s no surprise that a 4-year-old wants to be a singer when they come from a very musical family. “My paternal grandfather and his siblings had their own country band. This influenced me heavily with my love and respect for country music. My parents are also members of the church choir, my mom plays piano and my father plays bass guitar. My older brother plays pedal steel and acoustic guitar, my younger brother can play the drums and my sisters know how to play piano. Needless to say, I come from a large family and since everyone was able to do something musically, I had to pursue piano lessons and now I am getting the knack of the guitar,” says Beth.
This soulful and bubbly gal has shared the stage with the likes of Blake Shelton and Lee Greenwood. Even though Beth enjoys getting up on stage and performing in front of thousands, “I find so much serenity going back home and being near the water.” But this girl isn’t just about relaxing on the beach as her hometown is also a big agricultural area, with lots of chicken, corn and soybean farmers. “I always know that I am home when I smell the familiar scents of salt water and chicken manure,” laughs Beth.
When she is not on the road performing, you will find her spending time with her dogs and of course, quality time with her husband visiting and discovering new places, good restaurants and wineries. Like every girl, she also loves to shop. “I love fashion,” smiles Beth. “Nothing brings me up like finding vintage jewelry or those perfect shoes.” You will also find her outside running, hiking or snow skiing. She loves sports so much that she was even selected twice to sing the National Anthem for NASCAR. “Now as far as playing sports is concerned, that’s another story,” chuckles Beth. “I have little to no hand/eye coordination!”
With the high dreams of starting her own charity, being nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year and performing at the Grammy’s, CMA’s and ACM’s, Beth is not letting anything get in her way. She is following her favorite motto Never, never, never quit! With overwhelming amounts of talent, ambition and savvy style, this effervescent gal proves everyday that this dream is Worth Fighting For.
